The 2019/2020 Peruvian fresh mango campaign ended with exports of 233,000 tons, showing an increase of 37% compared to the 170,000 tons shipped in the previous campaign (2018/2019), reported the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (APEM). ).

“In July/August our prospecting indicated that if the entire phenological process and the weather are favorable, as it was, we were going to reach a record and that is what has happened. All conditions, including the market, have made it possible to reach this new record,” said the general manager of APEM, Juan Carlos Rivera.

In statements collected by the portal Agraria.pe, the spokesperson indicated that in the 2019/2020 campaign the main destinations were Europe with 132,180 tons (56.7% of the total), the United States with 74,900 (32.1%), Canada with 8,360 tons, and others with 17,300 tons.
